Less than three weeks remain before karts hit the racetrack at Cup Karts North America Grand Nationals III. IONIC Edge Chassis have been well represented at this event in its past two renditions, and IONIC Edge drivers started the CKNA season on a high with a number of wins at the Spring Nationals in Norway, Illinois. For GNIII, IONIC Edge drivers will be coming out swinging; and there are a lot of heavy hitters.
Season Highlights: Audrina has been one thing, and one thing only in Cup Karts North America competition in 2019: dominant. She’s won the majority of main events at each of the events thus far this season, with most of her wins coming as complete sweeps on the day (1st in qualifying, heat, and final). She has a lot of momentum coming into CKNA GNIII.
Carter Kruz Pryor
Season Highlights: Carter Kruz Pryor has taken home quite a few checkered flags in 2019. With some recent victories coming at the Mid-State Kart Club local races, Carter is looking to ride that same level of momentum and speed into Grand Nationals III. He may not have the most experience in the Junior division, but he’s got a number of fast and experienced IONIC Edge Chassis drivers to follow around the racetrack.
Season Highlights: It’s been a great season of learning for Jayelynn Kerr. The Junior division at Cup Karts North America events is no joke, and she jumped in headfirst in 2019. Every weekend has seen major progress from Jayelynn, and as she sets up for her first Grand Nationals in the category, she very well could be a serious contender.
Season Highlights: Elijah Skaggs is now one of the veterans in the Junior division, and he has used his experience in the class to put up some serious numbers this year. He’s added a number of marks to the win column in the AMPed Up Racing Series in 2019, and he put on a phenomenal showing to win the final round of the 2019 Florida Winter Tour. We expect a lot of stopwatches to be timing the #1 IONIC Edge Chassis at GNIII in Junior.
Season Highlights: Camryn Reed has had a busy 2019 season to say the least. In her first year in the Junior division, she has been racking up podiums and race victories across the country. She’s represented IONIC Edge chassis well at nearly every race she’s attended this year. While it may be just her first Grand Nationals in Junior, there’s no doubt that she will be a serious threat for the podium.
Season Highlights: Will Holtz kicked off his 2019 CKNA season by helping contribute to a number of wins for IONIC Edge chassis at the Spring Nationals. He took that positive momentum through the summer stretch of this year, but he’s got one goal coming into New Castle: become Grand National champion.
CIK Senior Medium
CIK Senior Medium
Season Highlights: Kevin Lanyi has kept up a busy schedule of Briggs 206 events in 2019. He’s competed in a number of CKNA events and club races across the midwest all in preparation of GNIII. He’s no stranger to the New Castle Motorsports Park racetrack, and he is looking to turn some heads at the Grand Nationals.
Open Senior Medium
Open Senior Medium
Season Highlights: Dylan Amundsen has been up and down the state of Florida in 2019 aboad his IONIC Edge chassis. Dylan secured a number of podium finishes in the Sunshine State series, and he’s been a consistent front runner at Ocala Gran Prix local races. He’s making the long trek North to New Castle, Indiana, and he is looking for the top step in Senior Medium.
Open Senior Medium / CIK Senior Medium
Season Highlights: Macon Moore joins Camryn Reed in representing both IONIC Edge and the great NOLA karting region. Macon’s got a busy weekend ahead of himself, pulling double duty by getting behind the wheel of both the Open Senior Medium and CIK Senior Medium divisions. It’s all about learning and making strides for Macon, though, as he is all ready to go to school in his first year in the Senior classes.
Season Highlights: Chris Cline has been racking up wins in the AMPed Up Racing Series for IONIC Edge chassis in the first half of his 2019 season. Chasing more competition and a chance at a Grand National title, Chris has thrown his hat in the ring in the Open Masters division.
Season Highlights: Randy Raridon has been one of the biggest supporters of both IONIC Edge Chassis and Cup Karts North America. It was a no brainer for Randy to once again get himself in the seat for the CKNA Grand Nationals, and he’s going to be gunning for gold in the CIK Masters class alongside a pair of IONIC Edge teammates.
Season Highlights: Bob Kaminski may not have the most experience aboard an IONIC Edge Chassis coming into GNIII, but he’s got a stellar group to bounce setup options off of. He’s looking forward to gaining some invaluable experience at the Grand Nationals and pulling off some respectable finishes in the CIK Masters class.
CIK Masters / CIK Heavy
Season Highlights: Matt Skaggs is adding the 2nd and 3rd entries to the Grand Nationals with a Skaggs last name by pulling double-duty in CIK Masters and CIK Heavy. Matt’s a long-time 4-cycle karter, and he has been looking forward to the Grand Nationals as soon as the checkered flag flew on GNII in 2018.
Team IONIC Edge
The drivers listed above are all a huge part of what makes IONIC Edge chassis win. But, racing is a team sport, and Kyle and Sarah Luttrell are far from the only two faces in the pits that make IONIC Edge chassis go. For GNIII, Jeff and Riley Scott will be trading in steering wheels for wrenches after injuries have taken them both from the driver’s seat. The IONIC Edge family is proud to have them and the many friends, mechanics, and family members that all help IONIC Edge chassis drivers WIN.
